We had an outstanding stay here! The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed an a great view. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious, with first-rate customer service and friendly hospitality. It was a perfect experience -- I only wish we would have stayed longer!
We have stopped already several times at this hotel on our way from the UK to Switzerland. Always a very kind welcome, spectacular view and very calm. Perfect to let our dogs out into the vineyards. We will certainly return on our next way to Switzerland
This is a wonderful hotel on a hillside in the middle of a vineyard. The staff team are truly delightful and everything runs with calm efficiency. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are very knowledgeable about activities to do in the area. The food in the restaurant is of a very high standard and accompanied by the local wines. The rooms are spacious and furnished in French country house style with sparkling clean modern bathrooms. Our bedroom had a balcony with an amazing view over the Alsace plain as far as the Black Forest.
Cozy romantic Hotel in a beautiful location. Amidst vineyards overseeing the whole rhine valley you must book a room with a balcony, fantastic!! The restaurant is lovely with a choice of local fresh products and wines of course. We come back!
Biking through Alsace, we had some very nice hotels but this hotel was the best. Their service was above and beyond any hotel service that I have ever experienced, and I travel a lot. My husband broke his rib while biking and we had to manage a lot of pain and changes. They took care of us like we were family. Thank you for all your kindness and help. We made it safely home thanks to your help.
Long story short in English for everyone to understand how this place is magical! From the location of the hotel in the vineyard to the ultimate kindness & professionalism of the owners and employees everything was there to make us extremely happy! We are both hoteliers of 5* hotels and honestly it was most probably one of our most beautiful stay. No complaints to be done, at all! We celebrated my husband’s birthday and we were spoiled by attentions! The view at Clos St Vincent is unique in this world! Their croissants for breakfast is a must try! They reminds us our childhoods we were speechless eating them! Ribeauville is not far to visit and it’s so beautiful! We will definitely 100% coming back ! Thank you Emmanuel and everyone again from the bottom of my heart! Juste fantastique!
Clos St. Vincent was "our" place, where our family would get away for a few days and enjoy fine food, lodging, and frequent relaxing walks among the vineyards. We stayed there on three occasions over several years, and if we could, would give it Six Stars. One of the things we loved about it was its dog- and family-friendly nature. We always received a ground level room with direct access to the outside which made it easy to come and go for long ambles on dirt roads among the vineyards with our two loveable mutts. So many things to sniff! Clos St. Vincent perches above the medieval town of Ribeauville, itself a wonderful destination, and is nearby to Chateau Haut-Koenigsbourg, Colmar, and La Montagne des Singes (literally, Monkey Mountain). But the real treat was the dining. Amazing multi-course meals with fabulous local Alsatian wine pairings delighted us every evening, It was here our young daughter first tried snails, pigeon, and numerous other rich, French options, and discovered several new favorites. She still is on the lookout for pigeon on restaurant menus even now...My wife and I loved the locally sourced fresh produce and meats, and the postprandial cheese plate was always a treat; we especially appreciated a particular cheese called simply, "The Colonel." The hotel sits on the slopes of the Vosges mountains and looks across the Rhine River valley toward the Black Forest in Germany. One can dine al fresco on the outdoor patio overlooking the amazing view. To this day, we can vividly remember sitting there as the sun set, sipping amazing wine and enjoying the fantastic meal in such a stunning setting. The proprietor, Emmanuel, was amazing, and made us and all other guests feel like we were the most important people staying there. He is an incredible host with an incredibly attentive and detail oriented staff. We were made to feel so welcome after our first visit, we decided that we had to go back several more times. Each time was better than the last. We loved our nearly five years in Europe, and experiences such as we had at Le Clos St. Vincent made that time all the more special. Indeed, Le Clos St. Vincent was our last major trip as a family before departing in the summer of 2016...truly our favorite spot. Since moving back to the US, we've not found anything to compare. It's a wonderful place to go for a special weekend away. Or any time!
Best stay. Beautiful views. Greatest breakfast of all time. I want my last meal on earth to be room service of croissant and eggs from Clos St Vincent while sitting in my robe on the balcony of my room.
